I’m honored to be part of this exhibition at Galleria Carla Sozzani, Corso Como, Milan which runs until 10th Aug. Taking part are 25 photographers, selected from more than 55000 by Vogue Italia photo editor Alessia Glaviano. To the right are my four pieces on display in the gallery.
Firstly, I am delighted to say my new website has finally launched at www.katescottfineart.com This project has been four years in the making and there is much more to follow in the coming months. I really wanted to produce a collection of beautiful, high quality yet affordable fine art prints so have released thirty as open editions and these can all be purchased online. I am still proofing the larger, limited edition prints but these will follow on in the next couple of months in sizes up to 150cm x 150cm. It has always been my wish to take my floral inspirations into the world of textiles and home interiors so stay tuned for lots of exciting new products on the way….
Speaking of which and on the subject of home interiors, I am thrilled to have collaborated with Glam Tribale’s Anne Enke on a limited edition set of coasters and gorgeous planter which will be previewing today at the Chestnut Hill Home & Garden Show, 8139 Germantown Ave @ East Hartwell. If you are in the vicinity then please go along, they are expecting a 10000 strong crowd and sunshine! The collection features my rose pictures and personally, I can’t wait to get my hands on a set of the coasters so please don’t buy them all! :-)
Lastly, I’m still a bit shell shocked to have found out that I am one of just twenty five photographers out of over 55000 chosen by Vogue Italia to exhibit this summer at the prestigious gallery Carla Sozzani in Milan. Four of my works will be on display there from June 13th - Aug 10th. It’s a really beautiful gallery and I am thrilled to be amongst such amazing talent AND alongside my very dear friend www.kirstymitchellphotography.com
Sweetpeas will always remind me of my childhood. When I mentioned to my dad a couple of years ago that I was finding it really difficult to get hold of some he went and bought some seeds and promptly grew them in his garden. Then, when he came to visit he presented me with this very bunch, the stems lovingly and carefully wrapped in a little pouch of water so they would be happy on the journey over. Now whenever I see sweetpeas I think of how sweet and thoughtful a dad I have :-)
